Change Management Expert Invigorates Employee Spirit and Company Performance

Christie Vianson to speak at Technet's Women of Innovation Series

SPOKANE, Wash. - Strategies to revive employees' spirits and company performance, especially in challenging economic environments, is the subject of Technet's next Women of Innovation speaker series event. February 26, Christie Vianson, president of Christie Hardwick Vianson Associates based in Northern California, will present Personal and Professional Change Management During Recovering Economic Times.

"Recently, many companies have been through extensive cuts, reductions and the kind of restructuring that has created feelings of fear, anger and frustration in their employees," explains Vianson. "I help people to see how they can turn that around and at the same time, revive the spirit and performance of a company."

Most recently Vice President of Change Management for Silicon Graphics Inc., Vianson has more than 22 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, non-profit and grassroots organizations in the areas of organizational efficiency and change management. Her many prestigious awards, accomplishments and appointments, include serving on the Women's Leadership Board for the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Organizations that can help their employees step up to a higher level of performance and push beyond their current boundaries, often see their business re-energized in a way that's good for the company and particularly for the employees, according to Vianson. "My focus is on creating value for companies by helping employees bring all their talents and skills to their work, for a truly spirited contribution that provides a mutual benefit for employer and employee."

The dinner and speaking event runs from 6-9 p.m., February 26, at The Spokane Club, 1002 W. Riverside. Admission to the event is $20 for pre-registered Technet members and students, $30 for non-members and $35 at the door. To register, contact the Technet office at 242-TECH (8324) or via email at info@technetnw.org.
