I knew there was greed and power and privilege operating, but only just now understand the concerted action. I love that you remind us to question, ask who else needs to be in the room, whose perspective have we not considered, and if one speaks up ...what if those words are like the butterfly wings whose movement changes everything! Jane and I have reduced our footprint by only owning one house, we have no debt except the morgage we have almost paid off, we are conscious of where and how we shop, we try to buy local whenever possible...What are other ways of responding that breaks dominance? The drastic increase in inequity could not happen without failed educational systems, political corruption, and the like. Perhaps we need to be talking about a) system infiltration, b) wealth building, c) and political education as a basis for meaningful change.
